The toolbar is located below the menu bar. It provides quick access to the functions that are frequently used.
The toolbar elements are grouped according to their purpose. Some of them duplicate menu commands. The following table contains the descriptions of all the elements.

|Open Data Model||Duplicates the Open Data Model command on the File menu|
|Save as a Favorite||Creates a shortcut to the open DataModel instance. This shortcut is saved as a Favorite object in the Favorites pane|
|Export to Excel||Duplicates the Export to Excel command on the Reports menu|
|Print preview||Duplicates the Print preview command on the Reports menu|
|Drill-down to previous level||Duplicates the Drill-down to previous level command on the View menu|
|Help on using this screen||Duplicates the Help on using this screen command on the Help menu|
|Exit this screen||Duplicates the Exit command on the File menu|
|As Of Date||Contains the list of existing DataModel instances of the open DataModel object. These instances are distinguished by the date and instance key parameters. You can select any instance to display the respective data in the worksheets. (In this case, you will need to update the content of the worksheets.) When a DataModel object is opened, its latest instance is selected by default|
|Edit selected Data Model||Duplicates the Edit Data Model command on the File menu|
|Open Model Instance Editor||Opens the Model Instance Editor screen, which is used to manage (e.g. create, delete) instances of the open DataModel object|
